When dealing with RDP, and restricting it to specific monitors instead of all monitors, everything I have read indicates you get the monitor numbers by using the MSTSC / command.however I see situations where these numbers change because of changing doc.

Hello fellow IT pros,I wanted to get some opinions on this situation, here we go:I am going to give you a bit of background, I am 29 years old, I've been in IT for 8 years now. For small screen device, you might switch to trackpad mode for more precision control. This new icon feature also works with connections that are accessed using Remote Desktop Web Access for Windows 7 client and Windows 2008 R2 server. support both direct-touch mode and trackpad mode. Right-clicking on the notification area icon lists all the connections (in RemoteApp and Desktop Connections) that the user is currently connected to and allows the user to disconnect from them. Splashtop mobile client is actually quite well known for its high performance and ease of use. We will look to enhance the product for 1 click command since it's a popular use for remote support. Which mobile client are you using? while there is no 1-click ctrl-alt-del button, please see the top of the soft keyboard which should have the ctrl, alt, and del keys which support multi-selection and enable you to send ctrl-alt-del command over. For desktop client, Ctrl-Alt-Del button is at the top menu of WIndows client. I also couldn't find the Ctrl-Alt-Del button so I could unlock the remote computer, and it didn't offer to log me in like LMI does. The mobile client works but just differently enough from LMI that it was a challenge to use. I like Splashtop, the desktop client reminds me of LMI. I think both Remote utilities and Splashtop are close but for us, and me in particular as the power user, we would have to give up an essential feature. Splashtop Streamer (agent) can be customized with IT credential embedded so you just deploy these agents to customer end points, or ad-hoc / on-demand download by users.Īs it stands We're going to keep using LogMeIn until they force us to go elsewhere, or the competition have feature parity for what we need. Splashtop support iOS console app (as well as windows, android, MAC, Chromebook, Chrome browser, etc.) as well. Free trial: Both products above use the same client console so it's one client app to manage Unattended and Attended support.

Free trial: Sound like if you need to on-demand, ad-hoc support a customer, then you would need a license of Splashtop On-Demand Support (SOS). Splashtop Business is for UNATTENDED support.

Splashtop does include remote printing and file transfer and many other Central Plus features.

it's cost effective starting at $60/user/year, or $180 /yr for unlimited computers remote support (up to 3 IT admin). many LMI Central has migrated to Splashtop. Perhaps, the VT Malwarebytes engine shows different results than the one in the software. You can view screens remotely, send keystrokes, control the mouse pointer, transfer files and do any other operation just as if you were physically sitting in front of the remote PC.
